Ball Valves and Knife Valves

Valves should be installed on both sides of your hot tub equipment. If you have knife valves or ball valves, and need to repair a pump or heater, you can simply close the valves and remove the faulty piece of equipment. If you don't have a set of knife valves, you will have to drain your spa before you make repairs.
